Position Summary

Step into a role where you will help modernize finance operations through technology-enabled transformation. As a Manager, Engineering Management in our Finance Operate practice, you will work with clients to implement solutions that improve reporting, streamline processes, and support operational performance across complex finance environments. You will lead implementation activities, coordinate cross-functional teams, and help clients realize value from Deloitte’s Accelsior Suite of products. This role is suited for a professional who brings experience across finance, technology, and client delivery.

Work you'll do

As a Manager, Engineering Management on the Finance Operate team, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading client implementations and onboarding activities for the Accelsior Suite of technology products
  • Advising clients on reporting, infrastructure, and operating model needs while managing delivery expectations, milestones, and timelines
  • Gathering business requirements, defining data exchange needs, and configuring products to support client-specific processes and workflows
  • Building reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools and coordinating data loading through extract, transform, and load processes, application programming interfaces, and secure file transfer protocol methods
  • Leading analysts and developers across multiple engagements, maintaining client relationships, and supporting training, communications, and product roadmap activities

The team

Our Finance Operate offering provides ongoing operation of the Finance function as an extension of the Finance Transformation Advise and Implement offering portfolio.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or Economics
  • 5+ years of experience in investment management fund accounting, regulatory reporting, financial reporting, or finance process automation
  • Experience gathering business requirements and configuring technology products to support finance, reporting, or operations processes
  • Experience building reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and financial calculations
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Master of Business Administration in Finance or Business Analytics
  • Experience in the alternative investment industry
  • Experience with database systems and financial or accounting systems
  • Experience leading project teams across multiple deliverables and timelines
  • Experience with borrowing base calculations
  • Experience applying artificial intelligence tools to improve product or user experience

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,000-252,500.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
