The Role

The Deloitte Microsoft Technology Practice is seeking a Microsoft Global Sales and Solution Center (GSSC) Architect to support strategic client opportunities. This full-time role works within a rotational, cross-functional team of architects and enablement professionals from Global Member Firms and the USI shared services team. The architect should bring deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and working knowledge across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Security, and Microsoft Copilot and agentic AI capabilities. The role requires experience in enterprise architecture, solution shaping, estimation, commercial modeling, and delivery leadership. Experience working with Deloitte practices is preferred. The GSSC coordinates across business, industry, and technology teams to accelerate offering development and provide a central hub for pursuit architecture, estimation, responsible AI, security, and delivery planning for strategic Microsoft pursuits in the U.S., including Government & Public Services.

Work You’ll Do

Strategic Responsibilities

• Contribute to the vision, operating model, and roadmap for Microsoft GSSC initiatives in partnership with practice leadership and the Microsoft CTO/Chief Architect community.
• Lead architecture and commercial shaping for complex Microsoft pursuits spanning Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, Security, and Copilot and agentic AI solutions.
• Translate business and industry outcomes into secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized reference architectures w/ Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Well-Architected Framework.
• Shape responsible AI and agentic solutions, including model and agent selection, grounding and retrieval, orchestration, evaluation, observability, human oversight, and content-safety controls.
• Establish trusted client relationships and guide pursuit teams through architecture tradeoffs, implementation options, delivery risk, licensing considerations, and measurable business value.
• Identify reusable assets, accelerators, industry patterns, and investment priorities that differentiate Deloitte in the market.
• Architect Operate and managed-service capabilities, including observability, reliability engineering, SecOps, FinOps, data governance, and continuous optimization.
• Promote platform engineering, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, inner-source practices, GitHub and Azure DevOps automation, and AI-assisted software delivery.
• Champion Microsoft independence requirements and permissible-use guidance in internal and client-facing activities.
• Build practice capability through architecture reviews, communities of practice, webinars, coaching, and industry-specific solution enablement.

Tactical Responsibilities

• Standardize pursuit intake, architecture decisions, estimation, staffing, pricing, delivery planning, and quality reviews through reusable templates and Deloitte artifact standards.
• Apply Microsoft independence guidance and coordinate timely reviews for proposed technologies, solution components, demonstrations, and client interactions.
• Develop estimates, consumption assumptions, licensing inputs, pricing models, and commercial constructs for cloud, data, AI, application, security, and managed-service engagements.
• Coordinate with adjacent ecosystems and practices, including SAP, Oracle, data and analytics, cyber, engineering, industry, and cloud operations, for integrated solutions.
• Use Azure DevOps and GitHub for demand tracking, repositories, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, architecture records, code scanning, automated testing, and AI-assisted delivery workflows.
• Lead rapid prototypes and R&D for Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI services, and modern application platforms.
• Embed Zero Trust, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Purview, Defender, Sentinel, data residency, accessibility, privacy, and responsible AI requirements into solution designs.
• Facilitate architecture reviews and Well-Architected assessments that address reliability, security, cost optimization, operational excellence, performance efficiency, and sustainability.
• Measure and continuously improve GSSC outcomes, including pursuit cycle time, estimate quality, asset reuse, architecture risk, delivery readiness, and realized business value.

Required Qualifications

• Experienced Consultant 8+ years.
• Five or more years of Microsoft cloud architecture, engineering, or delivery experience, including deep Azure expertise.
• Demonstrated architecture experience across cloud-native applications, integration, data platforms, identity, networking, security, resiliency, and hybrid or multicloud environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of generative and agentic AI patterns using Microsoft Foundry and/or Copilot Studio, including grounding, tools and connectors, orchestration, evaluation, monitoring, and responsible AI controls.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Dataverse, Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Power BI.
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform, automated testing, software supply-chain security, and platform engineering.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Zero Trust, privacy, data governance, regulatory requirements, and secure AI design.
• Ability to apply the Cloud Adoption Framework, Azure Well-Architected Framework, architecture decision records, FinOps practices, and workload assessment methods.
• Strong pursuit leadership, estimation, licensing and consumption planning, commercial shaping, executive communication, and cross-functional team-management skills.
• Experience developing reusable assets, accelerators, reference architectures, or industry solutions is preferred.
• Deloitte experience and practical knowledge of Microsoft independence requirements are preferred.
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is preferred; Azure AI Engineer Associate, Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Power Platform Solution Architect Expert, Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, or equivalent role-relevant credentials are beneficial.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $141,200-$278,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
