Position Summary

The Team

ConvergeSPORTS is a product-driven business combining Deloitte's sports industry experience with proprietary data, AI-native decision intelligence, and reusable Converge capabilities. We help sports organizations grow revenue, deepen fan engagement, optimize partnerships, and improve commercial performance while operating with the focus of a product company. Our teams work with leagues, teams, venues, rights holders, media organizations, sponsors, and brands across fan data, digital experiences, and commercial analytics. Cross-functional product teams turn market needs into scalable products and repeatable decision workflows rather than one-off solutions.

Position Summary

Are you energized by both winning the work and delivering it? As a Product Forward Deployed Engineer on ConvergeSPORTS, you will sit between the market and the product, helping shape data strategy for sports organizations while feeding what you learn in the field straight back into what we build. If you want to be close to clients and close to the product at the same time, we would like to talk with you.

Recruiting for this role ends on 10/31/2026.

Work you’ll do

As a Product Forward Deployed Engineer, you will split your time between supporting go-to-market for the ConvergeSPORTS portfolio and delivering the work once it is sold, with an emphasis on data strategy and data-product delivery. Your work will include:

  • Support product demonstrations and client conversations, translating ConvergeSPORTS data and digital products into a clear business case.
  • Contribute to go-to-market materials such as demo scripts, one-pagers, and case studies that Sales and Product teams reuse across engagements.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Market Makers to qualify product fit and help scope delivery engagements.
  • Deliver client-facing data work, including data discovery, segmentation, audience definition, and activation support.
  • Support customer data platform, identity, and audience workstreams alongside Data Engineering and Data Science partners.
  • Document client workflows, data sources, and integration needs, and turn them into requirements the product team can act on.
  • Bring field observations back into product development, including gaps, workarounds, and repeated client requests.
  • Build dashboards and reporting that make delivery progress and client outcomes visible.
  • Support scope, timeline, and issue tracking across active engagements.

The successful candidate would possess these skills:

  • Comfort being client-facing and hands-on in the same week, without needing the boundary drawn for you.
  • Instinct for distinguishing a genuine product gap from a one-off client request.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and commercial audiences.
  • Willingness to work in ambiguity on an early-stage product portfolio and pick up whatever is needed.
  • Curiosity about how sports organizations actually make commercial and fan-engagement decisions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, Sport Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in data consulting, analytics, delivery, product, or technology implementation.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with data tooling, such as SQL, a customer data platform, a CRM platform, or a BI tool such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Experience in sports, media, or entertainment organizations.
  • Experience with customer data platform implementation, identity resolution, or audience segmentation.
  • Experience supporting sponsorship or partnership activation programs.
  • Hands-on experience with Python or generative AI application tooling.
  • Client-facing consulting or pre-sales experience.
