About the Team
The Content and Social Marketing team is the always-on voice of DoorDash. Our mission is to create and distribute valuable, relevant, and consistent content that builds fandom on all sides of our marketplace. From the consumer who is looking to discover the best of their neighborhood, to the merchant that is growing their business, and the Dasher who is earning income on their own terms, our goal is to form meaningful connections with these audiences where they are
About the Role
As a Merchant Content & Social Marketing Manager at DoorDash, you'll create content that engages our merchant audience — ultimately stopping the scroll and inspiring the tap — with the goal of connecting more merchants with more customers by communicating the value of DoorDash. Your primary focus will be storytelling across the @doordashformerchants social media handles and the DoorDash for Merchants blog (merchants.doordash.com), and you will be tasked with overseeing a content calendar inclusive of videos, customer testimonials, downloadable content, trends reports, and more. You should have a strong understanding of content and social media best practices and a hunger to innovate and try new things.
The Merchant Content & Social Marketing Manager will join the Brand Marketing team at DoorDash, reporting to the Head of B2B Content & Social. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, a passion for experimentation, and a knack for storytelling, as well as a keen eye for design and a proficiency in brand marketing.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Own the storytelling strategy responsible for influencing consideration for DoorDash for Merchants
- Manage the publishing calendar for owned channels like the Merchant Blog and Merchant social media accounts
- Build the DoorDash for Merchants social media strategy including channels, influencer, creative, cross-audience strategy, and more
- Manage video production for live action and animated social-first video content, ensuring it meets and exceeds the expectations of the DoorDash brand
- Develop content strategies that stand out and help the business meet goals inclusive of video, articles, testimonials, interactive tools, and downloadable content like data-driven trends reports
- Own our non-branded keyword strategy optimizing the website for conversion rate
- Track and report on content and social performance and adjust strategies as needed
- Stay up-to-date with the latest content and social trends and technologies
We’re excited about you because…
- Superb written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- A relentlessly resourceful attitude with a bias for action and problem-solving —when something needs to get done, you always find a way to make it happen
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with internal team members to identify content strategy for themes and key moments and with external vendors/partners to bring those stories to life
- Extensive hands-on experience developing content and social strategies, managing content calendars, and providing feedback on written and video content that makes the final product sing
- You have a BA degree in English, Marketing, or Journalism, or 5 years of work experience in content or social marketing
Nice to Haves
- You have experience working in B2B Marketing
- You have experience using tools such as Salesforce, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Figma, Canva, and Contentful
We expect this position to be filled by 9/10/25.
