About the Team

At DoorDash, we’re reimagining how people connect with the things they need — whether it’s a meal, a grocery run, and anything in between. Our audiences — Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants — are at the heart of everything the Design org builds. Our content design team plays a big part in this, with each content designer shaping the experience and bringing our vision to life through clear, thoughtful language that makes our three-sided marketplace easier, faster, and more human.

About the Role

We’re hiring for multiple roles across our audience spaces. You’ll report into a Content Design manager, who’s led by our Head of Content Design, in our Product Design org. We expect this role to be hybrid 1-2 days a week working onsite from one of our offices, and the rest working from home in Seattle, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or New York.

You're excited about this opportunity because you'll…

  • Lead the content design and user experience for entire products and features, including contributing to overall strategy, planning, product vision, and frameworks
  • Lead the end-to-end approach of all content design processes, aligning your work with business goals and user needs, as well as our broader Design system
  • Be the content design lead for a specific domain, working closely with partners in product design, product management, user research, analytics, engineering, and marketing
  • Establish and evangelize content standards and guidelines as we continue to scale our best CD practices
  • Work with a close-knit content design team that supports each other across products

We're excited about you because you…

  • Have 5+ years of experience in content design, with 1+ years working in a consumer-facing role, and a portfolio of end-to-end projects
  • Think at a systems level and can translate complexity into simple, intuitive experiences
  • Enjoy collaborating across lots of different functions across a company
  • Love the practice of content design, and care about the details
  • Bring clarity to your teams through your understanding of design and product best practices
  • Are excited to represent content design as a role that impacts the entire product, well beyond the words
