Associate Manager, Digital Ordering - Strategy & Operations
DoorDash
About the Team
DoorDash Digital Ordering is DoorDash’s first software-as-a-service business unit – offering a suite of services across online ordering, branded mobile apps, loyalty solutions, and more that enable restaurants to reach customers through their own first-party channels.
The business is one of the fastest-growing segments within DoorDash, and yet is only scratching the surface of a generational opportunity to better serve hundreds of thousands of merchants across the Americas to help them grow their business and improve working lives in one of the country’s biggest industry sectors.
As part of the Strategy & Operations team focused on our restaurant segment, the Associate Manager will have the opportunity to help define and lead key strategic initiatives to grow the business. Your work will be instrumental to helping transition DoorDash from a consumer marketplace to an industry-leading B2B SaaS company.
On a typical day, you’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to grow our SaaS suite and drive merchant success. You’ll design and test new GTM motions and synthesize insights from merchants and frontline teams to influence product and strategy. Whether you’re running experiments, analyzing data to uncover growth levers, or building internal processes to help teams move faster together — you’ll be at the center of scaling what works.
About the Role
As an Associate Manager on the Digital Ordering Strategy & Operations team, you’ll be at the forefront of building DoorDash’s SaaS business into a category-defining platform for restaurants. This role is ideal for a strategic operator who can move fast and wear many hats — equal parts analyst, builder, operator, and GTM partner.
You’ll own zero-to-one experiments, craft growth strategies for our first-party products (ordering, websites, loyalty, mobile apps), and work directly with frontline sales and product teams to help merchants thrive. If you thrive in ambiguous environments, know how to test and scale new ideas, and want to help local businesses win, we want to hear from you.
We’re especially excited about candidates who’ve worked in fast-moving, founder-led, or resource-constrained environments — those who see lack of structure as an opportunity to build.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Grow the product line: Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales to grow our first-party SaaS suite — spanning online ordering, websites, apps, and loyalty — by building high-impact enablement materials (pitch decks, sales plays, trainings), launching new GTM motions, and acting as the connective tissue across teams to ensure feedback loops inform strategy and product development.
- Impact: Act as the voice of the merchant and the field, synthesizing feedback from frontline Sales, Onboarding, Support, and Operations to help influence product roadmaps and GTM priorities. You'll ensure our solutions resonate with customers and scale with repeatable excellence.
- Analyze: Pair complex data analysis with qualitative insights from internal teams and customers to guide strategic decisions, GTM launches, and content development. You’ll translate insight into action that improves both merchant experience and internal execution.
- Experiment: Design and launch zero-to-one experiments that test new GTM motions and pilot AI-powered tools — building demos, prototype AI agents, or configure internal tooling that improves speed, accuracy, or effectiveness in go-to-market efforts.
- Scale learnings: Codify what works. Build repeatable frameworks, processes, and training to drive GTM excellence across the org. You'll define best practices for launching new products and motions in a way that’s scalable and measurable.
The best candidates will:
- Bring strong analytical horsepower and intellectual curiosity — you're comfortable diving into complex data and extracting insights that drive real-world decisions
- Think like a founder — scrappy, resourceful, and driven to solve hard problems with limited structure or direction
- Thrive in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments — you move with urgency, default to action, take ownership end-to-end, and know when to bend process to get things done
- Have experience working closely with Sales or frontline teams— and know how to turn insights from those teams into action
- Demonstrate comfort with AI, automation, or internal tooling to drive process efficiency, enable scale, or prototype solutions
- Are relationship builders who foster deep trust and collaboration across functions - able to build strong relationships with our Sales, Account Management, Product, Engineering teams
- Communicate clearly and adapt their message depending on audience — whether summarizing insights for leadership or rolling up sleeves with field teams
Bonus if you’ve:
- Worked in zero-to-one or early-stage environments
- Been a founder or built something from scratch
- Are the first in your family to attend college
- Worked in or adjacent to restaurant tech, SMBs, or SaaS
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Build deep and meaningful relationships with merchants, laser focused on helping them thrive
- Imagine, develop, and execute on workstreams from start to completion with little oversight
- Oscillate easily from strategic considerations to tactical execution
- Operate comfortably in ambiguous environments while maintaining a strong bias for action
- Communicate precisely dependent on audience and level of detail necessary to share
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members across the organization
- Represent the DoorDash brand with humility and a customer-first mindset
We're excited about you because you…
- 4–6 years of experience in consulting, strategy, business operations, sales, business development, growth, or SaaS technology roles
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives — from identifying opportunities to executing with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams
- Experience in high-growth or complex environments, with a track record of navigating ambiguity and driving outcomes
- Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel required, SQL proficiency preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor messaging across audiences (e.g., sales reps, execs, and merchants)
Bonus if you have experience with:
- Piloting or working with AI tools in real-world workflows
- Zero-to-one work (startups, early-stage teams, or founder-like roles)
- Supporting products or GTM motions in restaurant or SMB SaaS
- Bachelor's degree required
We expect this position to be filled by 9/29/25.
