Partner Development Manager - Scaled

  • London, United Kingdom
  • Sales and Account Management

About Shopify

Opportunity is not evenly distributed. Shopify puts independence within reach for anyone with a dream to start a business. We propel entrepreneurs and enterprises to scale the heights of their potential. Since 2006, we’ve grown to 10,000 employees and generated over $496 billion in sales for millions of merchants in 175 countries.

This is life-defining work that directly impacts people’s lives as much as it transforms your own. This is putting the power of the few in the hands of the many, is a future with more voices rather than fewer, and is creating more choices instead of an elite option.

About you

Moving at our pace brings a lot of change, complexity, and ambiguity—and a little bit of chaos. Shopifolk thrive on that and are comfortable being uncomfortable. That means Shopify is not the right place for everyone.

Before you apply, consider if you can:
  • Care deeply about what you do and about making commerce better for everyone
  • Excel by seeking professional and personal hypergrowth
  • Keep up with an unrelenting pace (the week, not the quarter)
  • Be resilient and resourceful in face of ambiguity and thrive on (rather than endure) change
  • Bring critical thought and opinion
  • Embrace differences and disagreement to get shit done and move forward
  • Work digital-first for your daily work

About the role

About the team
The Partnerships team is responsible for developing the best in class ecosystem of channel partners to scale Shopify’s development in the region. Our partners are the extension of our teams and help us bring more of Shopify to the world. From partners to local system integrators and technology partners, our objective is to partner with the best local providers to support Shopify’s merchant acquisition efforts as well as existing merchant growth.

About the role
This role will support Shopify’s regional revenue growth strategy. This commercial role will primarily focus on increasing existing partner’s productivity and extending the reach of our channel, in a one-many manner. Shopify is in a unique position to help partners deliver on their clients’ digital transformation. There is a tremendous opportunity in the region to take Shopify’s network of partners to the next level and build mutually beneficial partnerships that will ultimately make Shopify merchants more successful.

  • Extensive experience in partnerships or sales/equivalent direct Sales
  • Significant operational background and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership
  • Experience working with a conversion funnel, as well as an understanding of commercial reporting, forecasting, and planning
  • Deep knowledge of the local Commerce/Shopify ecosystem and established relationships within commerce agencies, technology providers, and other potential businesses that complement the commerce lifecycle
  • Previous experience working for a service provider within the eCommerce space (preferably an agency), or experience managing agencies within a tech company
  • Experience working across multiple business units, comprising many stakeholders and influencing factors
  • You have a passion for partnerships, ecosystem, brands and e-commerce
  • You are passionate about sales, hunting, creating funnels and reaching out to new agencies
