The Marketing Strategy, Planning, and Operations team is seeking an experienced professional to support a pillar within our brand, product and growth marketing organization, which includes Meta, Instagram, Creator, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Facebook app Marketing. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is skilled at leading complex cross-functional initiatives with diverse stakeholders, and is a sharp strategic thinker. This person should see the value of creating inclusive spaces when solving hard problems and will recognize diverse perspectives.The Marketing Strategy, Planning, and Operations team is responsible for enabling successful brand and product outcomes for Meta by driving strategic planning and portfolio management for our Consumer Marketing organization. This is a highly cross-functional role that partners closely with marketing leaders to ensure that smart strategies are set, initiatives are rigorously prioritized, concrete plans are developed, and that our teams are organized to succeed. This role is integral in driving operational excellence in our marketing organization.

Marketing Strategy, Planning, and Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing strategy, including annual and ad hoc planning processes
  • Build investment cases to land annual plan and incremental asks, including driving trade-off discussions
  • Help remove roadblocks, escalate misalignments and ensure teams are set up for successful execution
  • Define and track org-level goals
  • Lead org-level strategic projects, as needed and as bandwidth permits
  • Identify and structure emerging misalignments and develop solutions (both within team and across orgs)
  • Communicate up, down, and across org to ensure transparency, alignment, and advocacy
  • Identify opportunities to build and improve on strategic marketing, planning, and operations processes to support the Marketing organization, working with relevant XFN partners within and beyond the immediate team
  • Distill business insights from how we’re managing resources and headcount across portfolio
  • Work with cross-functional partners including finance, HR, Media, Insights, and Brand to enable informed business decisions such as program and market prioritization and resource allocation
  • Design, operationalize, and manage processes that enable the marketing team to move fast and do awesome things
  • Partner with Finance and marketing campaign leaders to ensure accurate and consistent financial tracking across programs
  • Lead organizational operations such as talent planning, resourcing, and headcount management, restructures, employee experience, and leadership meetings
  • Collaborate with partner organizations and cross-functional teams on cross-organizational projects and alignment opportunities, including best practice sharing, goaling, and measurement
  • May lead other org engagement activities, such as internal communications, as bandwidth permits

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 10+ years work experience in strategy, planning and operations, consulting or marketing operations
  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate complex, large-scale concepts clearly and simply
  • Experience developing break-through marketing strategies and translating those strategies into actionable plans
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives under tight deadlines
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and embracing flex between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
  • Skills in balancing attention to detail with big-picture strategic thinking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in consumer marketing
  • Prior experience in either management consulting or in-house strategy and operations
  • MBA preferred
