What You'll Do
Flatiron’s Legal team practices at the intersection of healthcare, research and technology. We provide legal and strategic support across the entire company, driving our business forward while maintaining high standards for professionalism and compliance. Reporting to the Director of Legal Operations, this role supports our Legal and business teams to execute commercial and other strategic transactions.
As our Legal Operations Coordinator, you will be key in supporting daily legal operations as well as strategic projects to improve overall team efficiency and effectiveness. In this role, you'll support work across mission-critical areas involving corporate legal matters, implementation and maintenance of a contract management system, legal vendor management, and other projects aimed at driving overall efficiency of the Legal team. Key job responsibilities:
- Support the contract lifecycle and executing agreements at scale:
- Drive accountability with cross-functional stakeholders, and occasionally outside parties, involved in contracting to execute agreements in a timely fashion
- Route agreements for signature via DocuSign
- Maintain Flatiron’s contract repository in its contract management system (Ironclad), including metadata for all agreements
- Run reporting and analyses as needed for Legal and business stakeholders
- Support general Legal team operations, including:
- Assist with annual budgeting and managing vendor usage and spend, including outside counsel
- Provide administrative support (e.g., manage legal subscriptions, scheduling project-based or Legal team meetings, taking minutes, consolidating feedback, etc.)
- Manage the collection of required information for annual reports and other business filings, coordinating across Legal and Finance teams
- Assist with developing and monitoring Legal team goals and OKRs
- Support legal-wide meetings and off-sites including planning agendas and materials as well as taking meeting minutes
- Provide project management support for team-wide or company-wide projects
- Work with other Legal team members and cross-functional stakeholders to support against operational improvement projects, and ensure a sense of urgency and timely delivery
- Communicate progress and decisions clearly and regularly to stakeholders, escalating concerns as necessary
Who You Are
You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition, you’re a proactive, detail oriented, and strong communicator with 1-2 years of experience in an operations or project management role.
- You are able to reliably, quickly, and correctly execute on predefined tasks with excellent attention to detail and timely delivery
- You proactively seek to understand tasks and expectations by asking thoughtful questions and clarifying requirements to ensure accurate and effective work delivery
- You have a demonstrated ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities and rapidly learn new skills in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- You have exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information while maintaining a high level of professionalism in all interactions
- You are able to apply sound judgment and discretion, with the ability to properly handle confidential and sensitive information
Extra Credit
- You have experience in developing, implementing, and using legal department technology solutions, e.g., e-billing and matter management, G-suite programs (Gmail, Google docs, etc.), redlining software, Ironclad/CLM software and Docusign e-signature
- You have worked in legal operations or healthcare tech

Job Compensation Range
Hourly Rate: $32.00 - $49.00

The pay range for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed above. If you are applying to this role at a location that is not the preferred primary location, please keep in mind the salary range will vary and may fall outside of what is listed. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
