Position Description
General Atlantic is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual for a 3-month intern position to support our IT team in auditing, organizing, and optimizing workspace technology and infrastructure. This role will focus on standardizing desk setups, inventorying and redeploying equipment, reviewing network printer assets, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate is organized and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Audit and standardize desk setups to ensure complete and functional technology configurations
- Review and audit all unused desks to identify gaps and optimize readiness for new joiners or guests
- Enable accurate monitoring of missing or stolen devices; coordinate with the Facilities team to investigate any missing equipment after desk setup is confirmed
- Organize and audit stored equipment in storage areas, including IDF/MDF rooms
- Test and inventory all usable equipment for potential redeployment, reducing unnecessary hardware purchases
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations by decluttering and maintaining storage room standards
- Review and audit office network printers; reconcile physical printer inventory with records in PrinterCloud
- Cross-check inventory with managed printer provider to confirm timely supply deliveries
- Decommission and remove non-operational printers to recover PrinterCloud licenses
- Update firmware for docking stations to reduce user experience and connectivity issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior experience in an administrative, facilities, operations, or support role is a plus
- Familiarity with computer hardware (e.g., monitors, docking stations, keyboards)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a high performing global organization
- Collaborative and capable of working effectively cross functionally
- Strong communication skills and a professional, proactive attitude
- Comfortable handling physical equipment and moving between floors
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full 3-month duration
This is a temporary position compensated at $34-38 per hour, the exact amount offered will be driven by the degree to which you meet role requirements, additional special skills and experience.
