Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Director, HR Operations & HRIS, to lead and strengthen our global HR operations function and manage the team. This role will report to the Head of Rewards and will oversee the day-to-day HR operations framework, while owning the strategy and management of GA’s HR technology platforms (HRIS). The right candidate will combine strong operational expertise with systems knowledge to create a seamless, efficient, and scalable employee experience. As part of the HR Ops team, this role will own core HR processes, policies, and compliance, while also ensuring our HRIS systems (Workday or similar) are optimized to enable the business. The role requires a blend of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and technical acumen, with responsibility for both process execution and system enablement.
Responsibilities
HR Operations Leadership
- Own and lead the global HR operations framework, including employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, mobility, performance, compensation, offboarding, etc.)
- Ensure operational consistency and compliance across teams and regions, aligning processes with local requirements while driving global standards
- Manage HR policies and procedures, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and alignment with GA’s values
- Partner with the Human Capital Management (HCM) team and business operations teams across GA to ensure smooth delivery of people programs
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external audits and governance
HRIS Ownership & Enablement
- Partner with the IT team to support GA’s HRIS platform — responsible for managing the successful delivery of HCM requirements as it relates to system design, maintenance, enhancements, and integrations
- Manage HRIS projects such as new module implementations, upgrades, and automation initiatives
- Serve as the liaison between HCM and IT, and responsible for managing the HCM technology roadmap
- Optimize our Talent Acquisition product, Greenhouse (ATS), overseeing system configuration, integrations, reporting, and process enhancements to ensure scalability, data integrity, and a seamless candidate experience across global recruiting operations
- Maintain data integrity, security, and reporting standards within the system
- Deliver workforce analytics and dashboards through our HRIS platforms to support business insights and decision-making
Process Improvement & Change Management
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and leverage technology for scale
- Lead cross-functional HR projects that improve employee experience and operational efficiency
- Drive adoption of HR tools and processes through effective communication and training
- Leverage AI to automate operational processes where possible
People Leadership
- Lead and develop members of the HR operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Serve as a mentor and trusted advisor to colleagues across HR
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR, HRIP) a plus
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant time spent in HR operations and HRIS management
- Background in the financial services industry strongly preferred
- Proven ability to own and lead HR operations at a global scale
- Demonstrated management experience, including a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing HR operations teams where members are in different locations, with the ability to drive accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across a global function
- Strong HRIS expertise (Workday required; Greenhouse a plus), with experience in system administration, reporting, and process integration
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional HR initiatives
- Knowledge of HR compliance, global employment practices, and operational best practices
- Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills
