2027 Investment Team Summer Analyst
General Atlantic’s Analysts are the foundation of our deal teams. We encourage them to bring an ambitious mindset as they gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle. Our summer program serves as the training ground and main source of talent for the Fulltime Analyst Program.
As a Summer Analyst, you will work closely with our deal teams and significantly support our new investment opportunities by prospecting, conducting thematic research and supporting due diligence and deal execution efforts across all our main sectors. In this role, you will:
- Learn how Analysts develop investment theses and industry expertise through market mapping, research, conversations with industry experts, and due diligence on specific targets.
- Build financial models and valuation analyses to support live deal execution.
- Provide sourcing, prospecting, and diligence support through both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Contribute to portfolio company initiatives and value-creation efforts, including financings, public offerings, and partnership development.
- Review and analyze data, legal, and financial documents to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Discover how customer analytics, portfolio engagement, and deal judgment drive GA’s investment process.
Qualifications
- Individuals currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate institution in the US and are graduating in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Have a proven record of achievement in academic, leadership, and other settings.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity, professionalism, and a dedication to continuous learning.
- Creative and solutions-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High energy, collaborative and globally minded, eager to work with colleagues across GA’s offices.
GA Value
The Investment Areas Summer Analyst program will be based in GA’s New York office and will span 10 weeks, beginning in June 2027. As a Summer Analyst, you can expect:
- Exposure to growth investing, offering hands-on experience in different industries and investment strategies.
- Engagement with entrepreneurs and management teams across GA’s global portfolio.
- Broader understanding of growth investing concepts through a “Lunch & Learn” series with senior professionals across the firm.
- Introductory training covering financial modeling, market analysis, and GA’s investment approach.

- Regular coaching and 1:1 check-ins with your deal team to support ongoing learning and feedback.

Upon successful completion of your internship, you will receive first consideration for a role in the 2028 Fulltime Analyst Program. General Atlantic allows you to earn a rate of $4,580 per pay period.
