The Derivatives Sales Support team is seeking a highly motivated Operations Analyst to provide critical front-to-back operational support for our Derivatives Sales desk focusing on interest rate products and FX transaction, including complex structures such as Deal Contingent hedges. This role serves as a vital link between the Sales team, Trading desk, and Middle Office, ensuring the seamless execution and reporting of complex derivative transactions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the integrity of trade data, the accuracy of client communications, and the maintenance of our internal client relationship infrastructure. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain deep exposure to derivatives products and investment banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Onboarding, Post-Trade Workflows & Transaction Lifecycle Management

  • Generate and distribute internal and external trade recaps immediately following trade booking to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on execution terms.
  • Monitor trade lifecycle events and provide real-time updates to the Sales desk regarding booking status.
  • Monitor shared inboxes to identify and resolve urgent payment or same-day settlement issues; coordinate with the Settlements and Authentication teams
  • Manage onboarding and mapping requests for electronic dealing lines on FXall, 360T, and Bloomberg; monitor credit line connectivity and liaise with Tech/Credit teams to resolve mapping failures.

2. Trade Reporting and Revenue Tracking

  • Perform rigorous "maker-checker" validations by comparing formal trade confirmations against trades booked in internal risk management systems and client communications.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in economic terms (e.g., notional amounts, strike prices, maturity dates) by liaising with the Middle Office and Trading teams.
  • Ensure all trades are accurately matched in a timely manner to mitigate operational and regulatory risk.
  • Record and track daily revenues for each transaction, maintaining accurate logs for internal management reporting and sales performance analysis.

3. Client Onboarding & Data Integrity

  • Facilitate the end-to-end onboarding of new corporate derivative accounts by collecting Customer Identification Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD) documentation, and regulatory information
  • Maintain the accuracy of client static data to support seamless onboarding and regulatory compliance (KYC/AML).
  • Assist in the preparation of client-facing materials and reports by leveraging CRM data to identify trends in client activity.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0–2 years of experience in financial services; prior internships in operations, middle office, or sales support are highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) is essential. Familiarity with Bloomberg or internal banking systems is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and the ability to spot minute discrepancies in complex financial documents.
  • Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with high-pressure trading desks and institutional clients.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and manage multiple competing priorities.

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $70000-$95000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
