Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • Experience in defining and developing products to meet desired customer needs from inception to launch.
  • Experience developing technical roadmaps and plans to implement solutions with communication of the roadmap to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate well on different levels of abstraction, from technical to executive and from internal to external stakeholders (e.g., customers, KOFs, regulators, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and influencing skills, with the ability to build productive relationships.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The privacy, sovereignty, and compliance team lives within Google Cloud and is part of the Google Workspace organization. Workspace, is a cloud-based productivity suite that is revolutionizing the way people communicate and collaborate with one another. The team is focused on delivering the tools that shape people’s productivity experience at work, home, and school. The privacy, sovereignty and compliance team builds products that customers/users rely on to safely and securely use Workspace.

As Product Manager, you will lead the Data Regions product. Data Regions helps customers comply with regulations around the world and keeps data within the US or EU and offers advanced reporting.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work on the next generation of Data Regions, defining a clear product idea and long-term plan for regionalization as default, collaborate with Workspace leaders to close existing gaps, and regionalize new areas of Workspace.
  • Build knowledge in underlying systems that must be regionalized, including Search, Spam and Abuse, and Notifications, as well as in data regulations, and how regimes like GDPR and DMA impact the use of data.
  • Drive a go-to-market plan, speaking with customers and regulators to make sure Google is perceived as a compliance leader.
  • Build relationships with engineering, UX, legal, marketing, and numerous other teams.
  • Collaborate exciting new features, including advanced reporting, alerting, and auditing for customers.
