Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Experience managing complex partnerships.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

About the job

In this role, you will contribute experience structuring ambiguous problems, leading investigative work streams, applying sound business judgment, influencing stakeholders, and communicating complex issues effectively. Additionally, you have experience in technology and/or consulting environments and work well in fast-changing, ambiguous environments. Your knowledge of the policy landscape, combined with your research and problem solving abilities, inform your perspective on Google’s strategy and help you make recommendations to Google executives.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic input on policy and regulatory announcements and decision-making and drive consensus on outcomes that balance value and risk.
  • Project manage global cross-functional work streams related to our global advocacy efforts to ensure consistency (when possible) on various issues.
  • Gather data from internal and external sources to become a recognized expert on specific regulatory topics and/or verticals to inform analyses for key stakeholders.
  • Help evaluate and influence Go-To-Market (GTM) plans as it relates to ensuring product area leadership has the tools to make sound decisions that impact long-term advocacy efforts.
