Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience authoring reports and conducting briefings that provide stakeholders with actionable insight about security and resilience concerns
  • 3 years of experience in foresight, futures thinking, or intelligence analysis
  • 3 years of experience in people management

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree with emphasis on coursework related to futurism or strategic foresight
  • Experience in translating analysis results into business recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Deep interest and aptitude in futures thinking, change management, and strategic planning

About the job

From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$221,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify and assess potential future risks to Google's physical security environment, considering emergent needs, current events, and long-term priorities.
  • Manage and mentor a team of emerging risk analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and strategic thinking.
  • Partner with geopolitical and threat intelligence analysts to identify and assess emerging risks to Google’s security and resilience mission.
  • Work with the team to conceptualize and deliver compelling visual artifacts that capture unique insights and inspire new thinking.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate ongoing dialogue about emerging resilience risks and opportunities to implement near and long-term mitigations.
