Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience leading UX for multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience with analogous enterprise software domains.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with the integration of first-party and third-party systems to deliver cohesive workflows and experiences to users.
  • Knowledge that enables ideation and development of creative and innovative solutions.
  • Recognized UX leadership for high quality design accomplishments leading to significant business impact, in relevant enterprise software domains.

Corporate Engineering (Corp Eng) is the team that builds and maintains the infrastructure that powers Google. We are responsible for designing, building, securing, and operating the systems that keep Google running smoothly. As Director, you will lead the Enterprise Platform, Enterprise Data and Enterprise AI teams (EEE). You will combine your deep understanding of the user with business acumen and the ability to drive excellent enterprise product development. Your work will influence product strategy to ensure Google transforms its operations through AI and end-to-end user centered thinking.

In this role, you will own and oversee the strategy, outlook, and delivery of desired UX and business outcomes to forge a path forward across Corp Eng UX and partner teams. You will identify and nurture best practice and emergent solutions, and enable scaled application to drive user-centered experiences and principles that create business value and high user satisfaction.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $267,000-$376,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Create and drive a compelling experience, outlook and direction for the EEE suite of products and services.
  • Envision how quickly evolving AI capabilities can drive innovation across the portfolio of products, creating efficiency and simplicity within complex enterprise workflows.
  • Influence across multiple product teams to deliver a cohesive and elegant user experience across value streams.
  • Lead and inspire a team of passionate UX designers, researchers, content strategists, and UX engineers globally. Drive a healthy culture and support collaboration and transparency between product areas, functions, and locations.
  • Drive operational and executional excellence while leading creative and holistic thinking at scale across numerous product releases, serving a unique set of internal users and functional partners.
