Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 2 years with an advanced degree

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with building data infrastructure (e.g., designing architecture, building data pipelines, implementing scalable monitoring) and implementing reporting solutions
  • Experience using SQL for data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience developing strategies in fast-paced competitive environments
  • Ability to work with data to produce analysis, influencing decision making with numerical analysis and generating insights
  • Ability to take ownership, confidence to interact with all levels, set objectives, drive results, and be a team player

About the job

The Geo, Revenue, Ads, Search Strategy and Operations (GRAS S&O) team is the central team for GRAS Finance which partners with two of the largest business organizations at Alphabet - Global Business Organization (GBO) and K&I (including Ads, Search, Assistant, Commerce and Geo product areas). The Central Strategy and Profitability team under GRAS S&O manages a broad set of responsibilities, including annual planning, Opex management, headcount and payroll reporting, P&L management and analytics, FP&A data infra, horizontal product area partnership, regulatory responses, and other ad hoc projects working with senior executives.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive core central FP&A processes for GBO including planning, forecasting, budget management, cost allocation, management reporting and other ad hoc initiatives.
  • Work with GRAS Finance teams and coordinate efforts to deliver impactful analysis and insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Act as a FP&A partner for central business cost centers, with a focus on budget management and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance DNA, Hub, Corporate FP&A, Strategy & Operations (S&O) to ensure effective partnership and impactful results.
