Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • 8 years of experience in program management, product management, engineering operations.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with R, SQL, spreadsheets, or similar analytics tools.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

Enterprise Cloud SRE partners with Cloud engineering teams to ensure Cloud products deliver a high bar of reliability, efficiency and resilience to give customers the best possible experience. We focus on the reliability of Workspace and a variety of GCP products, including many Cloud databases, analytics and Cloud security products.

As a pivotal member of the Enterprise Cloud SRE leadership team, you will partner with leaders across Enterprise Cloud SRE to orchestrate the strategic and operational rhythm of a broad and dynamic organization that is promoting the reliability of some of Google Cloud’s most critical enterprise products. You will be a critical advisor and a generalist, capable of disentangling cross-team dependencies to build consensus and deliver outcomes consistent with the leader's business objectives. You will operate as an active member of the organization’s leadership team, often working behind the scenes to guide the organization toward smooth landings through integrative problem solving. You will be a proxy for the VP, operating as a team multiplier for the organization at large by accelerating the organization’s most impactful strategic program
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$302,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage critical business cadences and reviews, ensuring streamlined communication, and effective decision-making.
  • Lead annual planning for the organization, including headcount planning, budgeting, and Objectives and Key Results (OKR) creation.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and streamline execution of the organization’s processes, including opportunities to drive organizational standardization and adherence to best practices.
  • Promote organizational health in partnership to advise on organizational design and development, talent planning/mapping, and development of Core HR support for the leaders.
