Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering/Construction Management, Project Delivery, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program management.
- 8 years of experience managing process improvement or construction programs.
- 8 years of experience working with data centers or other mission critical equipment/environments in engineering and construction.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience managing engineering/construction projects, including experience collaborating across different stakeholder teams.
- Experience managing engineering or construction projects (e.g., collaborating across different stakeholder teams).
- Ability to travel as needed.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Technical Program Manager with demonstrated design, operations and construction oversight experience in the area of complex systems. Mission critical construction management or Technical Design experience.
In this role as a Data Center Delivery and Engineering (DCDE) Technical Program Manager, you will focus on Partner Programs and engage in efforts to improve our data center planning and execution. You will collaborate with partner reporting teams and various stakeholders to ensure improvement initiatives are supported. Additionally, you will organize and manage program initiatives through completion (e.g., operational improvements, technical insertion opportunities, machine learning progress, and cross-functional programs at project delivery)
Collaborate on shared initiatives with partner teams (e.g., the Machine Learning Program Management Office) across Data Center Delivery and Engineering (DCDE) Central Operations.

Responsibilities
- Participate in and create a program initiative charter, working with internal stakeholders to plan, and prioritize objectives and success criteria, estimate task duration, and ensure schedules and dependencies are aligned and support those objectives.
- Seek approval of the program initiative and support requests. Work with teams to identify resources best suited to participate and contribute to an initiative project.
- Drive recurring meetings, track action items, and ensure forward momentum for DCDE Leadership agreed priorities.
- Ensure prior to completion of the initiative, that all goals and objectives of the initiative are met with clear implementation strategy, quantifiable impacts to the site teams and recorded risks.
- Report to leadership on progress, mitigations, and learnings.
