Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, go-to-market operations, or product commercialization.
  • 5 years of experience managing and developing strategy-focused teams.
  • 5 years of experience working in consumer goods, entertainment, digital media/advertising, or marketing technology companies supporting cross-functional profits and losses.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Graduate-level degree in a management, technical, or engineering field.
  • 5 years of experience managing VP+ relationships and working with product and sales teams to drive decision-making.
  • Experience being at the center of product and sales organizations, with experience translating complex product strategy into actionable behaviors and outcomes, tooling design, and pitch preparation for a large sales organization.
  • Experience designing salesforce enablement, translating complex product strategy into actionable tools and pitch prep.
  • Experience with, and understanding of, the Google Ads product ecosystem, gained by operating within highly competitive, large-scale digital advertising environments.

About the job

As Director, you will serve as the chief architect of the next generation of Google’s Go-to-Market (GTM) engine for one of our critical sectors. In this high-velocity leadership role, you will define the roadmap and strategy for how we bring products to market, engineering the sophisticated governance models and workflow systems that power our commercial success.

In this role, you will act as a primary catalyst for innovation, translating high-level product strategy and complex business priorities into the master operational frameworks that empower cross-functional teams to execute at scale. You will be a trusted advisor to GTM and Sales executives, advocating for new strategic frontiers and driving the critical decision-making processes of Global Business Organization (GBO) leadership.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $278,000-$387,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales executives to drive business plans and go-to-market business strategy.
  • Build consensus among cross-functional teams and consult decision making within executive-level audiences.
  • Structure and lead large-scale operational improvement initiatives through implementation. Identify and resolve issues impacting business growth.
  • Run smooth, efficient sales launch processes leading planning and supporting sales activation programs, headcount planning, objective setting, sales cadence, portfolio management, and escalations.
  • Lead a high-performing team to deliver on all strategic and operational priorities.
