What you'll do:
Grasshopper Bank, a leader in direct digital banking and Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), is excited to expand into affinity banking. This new business line will combine our experience of running a digital bank, leveraging partnerships to power white-labeled technology platforms, and executing marketing plans to offer banking solutions for brands that enable them to achieve their goals.
With our impending acquisition of Auto Club Trust in the first half of 2025, as the Associate Product Manager for Affinity Banking Partnerships, you will design, build, and manage banking experiences and features tailored to affinity partnerships with this brand. This role will focus on driving value by crafting industry-leading solutions that align with partner goals while fostering balance sheet growth and customer loyalty.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including business leaders, technical stakeholders, and operational experts to deliver innovative, high-impact products. Core product areas include affinity partner banking experiences, deposit accounts, payment solutions, lending, and cards.

- Collaborate with affinity brand partners to identify needs, evaluate strategic requests, and prioritize roadmap items, ensuring alignment with business goals and partner objectives.
- Drive the product roadmap for affinity partnership platforms, including account opening, digital banking (online + mobile app), deposits, payments, lending, and physical/virtual cards.
- Build consensus by promoting your vision, aligning cross-functional teams, and acting as a missionary for our culture of innovation.
- Develop, document, and validate business and technical requirements, process flows, use cases, and test plans. Provide test support for launches.
- Ensure product and technical decisions meet strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with platform and ecosystem partners, negotiating agreements and holding vendors accountable to SLAs and performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue, optimize expenses, and enhance client engagement through market research and insights.
- Build and maintain reporting to track KPIs for affinity partnership banking products.
What you need:
- 2+ years of product management or similar experience (e.g., analyst, engineer, product marketing).
- Experience in digital lending, lifecycle marketing, or partner integrations.
- 2+ years in fintech or banking technology
- Proven ability to analyze, quantify, and articulate trade-offs of proposed solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of ownership.
- Data fluency and exposure to BI platforms like Tableau, Looker, or similar.
- Experience working directly with software development teams and UX design tools such as Figma.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in digital lending, lifecycle marketing, or partner integrations.
- Familiarity with API documentation, technical requirements, and process flows.
- Familiarity with banking cores/payments systems like Narmi, Q2, FIS,
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, R, or ETL tools like Tableau Prep.
