What you'll do:
The Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist plays a vital role, responsible for the post-funding lifecycle of consumer loans. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including vehicle title lien perfection, processing title applications and transfers, and direct communication with borrowers, dealerships, and state agencies to resolve titling issues from loan origination to lien release. Additionally, the position involves payment processing, account maintenance, and providing excellent customer service, all while ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong communication skills, and thrives in a dynamic environment
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate records of all titling activities within the loan servicing system.
- Process and track vehicle title applications and transfers, ensuring accurate lien perfection.
- Communicate with borrowers, dealerships, and state motor vehicle departments to obtain necessary documentation and resolve titling issues.
- Prepare and submit lien filings to relevant state agencies.
- Monitor and manage lien release processes upon loan satisfaction.
- Accurately process loan payments, including principal, interest, and fees.
- Process loan modifications, extensions, and deferments.
- Handle loan payoff requests and calculate accurate payoff amounts.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing prompt and courteous service.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints efficiently and effectively.
- Provide clear and accurate information regarding loan terms, payment schedules, and account status, and titling procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to vehicle titling, and lending practices.
- Identify and escalate potential compliance risks.
- Utilize IBS to manage loan accounts and generate reports.
- Perform data entry and verification tasks.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic files.
- Other duties, as assigned.
What you need:
- 5 years or more years of experience in consumer loan servicing, including vehicle title perfection.
- Basic knowledge of lending principles and procedures with solid understanding of legal documentation
- Strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in loan servicing systems and applications.
- Highly organized and motivated with ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with minimal supervision and as a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to meet designated deadlines while remaining flexible to changing assignments.
