Job Description

As an Engineering Manager for the Integrations team, you will lead a team responsible for building and maintaining integrations with leading document repositories and other third party data sources. In this role, you will be a key player in shaping the technical direction of our integration ecosystem, ensuring high performance, reliability, and robust capabilities across our platforms. You will oversee the end-to-end development and operational excellence of these integrations. You will work closely with your team to prioritize work, resolve challenges, and continuously improve the speed and reliability of our integration solutions. You will also interact with external providers as necessary to maintain partnerships and ensure smooth technical collaboration.

This role is based out of our New York City office in Soho.

Responsibilities

  • API Integration: Develop, maintain, and optimize integrations between Hebbia's platform and various third-party APIs.
  • Data Integration: Design and implement solutions to integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization.
  • System Configuration: Customize and configure Hebbia’s systems to meet client-specific requirements, ensuring compatibility and performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other engineers to understand integration requirements and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
  • Roadmap Influence: Influence the roadmap for integrations by identifying opportunities, assessing feasibility, and prioritizing initiatives that align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with integration partners and document repository providers. Navigate technical conversations and drive collaboration to address issues and implement enhancements.
  • Team Coaching and Development: Coach and develop team members, providing regular feedback, fostering a culture of learning, and supporting career growth paths.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for integration-related issues, working closely with clients to resolve problems.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and uphold processes that ensure high standards of reliability, monitoring, and incident response. Proactively address technical debt and seek opportunities to optimize performance.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. A strong academic background with coursework in data structures, algorithms, and software development is preferred.
  • 7+ years platform engineering or backend engineering with an emphasis on data engineering and building data pipelines at a venture-backed startup or top tier technology company
  • 2+ years of experience in people management or as a technical lead
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
  • Autonomous and excited about taking ownership over major initiatives
  • Embraces rapid prototyping with an emphasis on user feedback
  • Extreme passion for learning, growth, and leadership

Compensation

In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the salary range for this position is set between $190,000 and $240,000. However, adjustments outside of this range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications significantly differ from those outlined in the job description. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our equity plan and benefits program. Benefits include, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits, daily catered lunch, and unlimited PTO.
