About this role
We’re hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive execution across the most critical partner programs at Highbeam. You’ll own timelines, dependencies, and delivery across banking partners, card and payment vendors, and compliance workstreams (SOC2, BSA/AML, PCI), translating between compliance, product, engineering, and external partners. The bar is external programs that ship faster and more predictably, with leadership no longer pulled into day-to-day coordination.
This role is based in our NoHo, NYC office.
What you’ll do
Drive execution across partners like Unit, bank partners, card and payment vendors
Own the critical path for partner and compliance work, freeing leadership to focus on broader priorities
Own timelines, dependencies, and delivery for cross-functional programs
Translate between compliance, product, engineering, and partners
Drive pay-by-card, treasury, onboarding, and any future partner integration coordination
Own compliance and audit readiness (SOC2, BSA/AML, PCI)
Establish scalable processes for operating in regulated systems
Unblock engineering from external dependencies and ambiguity
Lead incident response and resolution across money movement systems
Ensure partner requirements are clearly defined, tracked, and delivered
Create clear, trusted visibility into program status for leadership
Hold vendors and partners accountable to timelines and outcomes
Net impact
External programs ship faster and more predictably
Engineering velocity increases due to fewer external blockers
Reduced operational and compliance risk
Leadership is no longer pulled into day-to-day coordination
Highbeam can scale into more complex financial workflows with confidence
Qualifications
5-8 years TPM or technical program leadership experience, ideally in fintech, payments, or other regulated industries
Track record managing partner integrations with banks, card networks, or payment vendors (Unit, Galileo, Stripe Issuing, etc.)
Deep familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, BSA/AML, PCI) and how they map to engineering work
Strong systems thinking; can translate between compliance, product, engineering, and external partners
Comfortable shipping in ambiguity, with a bias for driving clarity and removing blockers
Experience leading incident response in money movement systems or other production-critical environments
Skilled at holding vendors and partners accountable to timelines and outcomes
Strong written communication; can produce clear, trusted program status for leadership
Comfortable with AI tools to accelerate program coordination and documentation
Bonus: engineering background or hands-on technical depth
You'll thrive at Highbeam if...
You love working in-person with a high-performing team
You enjoy working in an idea-meritocratic, low-ego environment
You are proactive and self-directed, and you excel in ambiguous, fast moving environments
You care about delivering a polished customer experience
