Your Role and Responsibilities

At IBM, we seek candidates who want to be part of a dynamic and skilled IBM Research team driving innovation for the world’s most advanced semiconductor and 3D chiplet technologies. We are looking for qualified and motivated industry leaders to drive our Design & System Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO & STCO) mission for IBM Semiconductors.
As a leader in the DTCO & STCO Research team, you will contribute to state-of-the-art logic & 3D chiplet technology development including process assumptions, technology definition, and power-performance-area (PPA) benchmarking for the world’s most advanced semiconductor technologies for IBM and our partners.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Advanced CMOS device, logic std cell and SRAM architecture design
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Chip architecture design and optimization
  • Familiar with semiconductor technology process, ground-rule, lithography/patterning engineering and optical proximity correction
  • Understanding of technology Power-Performance-Area (PPA) benchmarking
  • Knowledge in Process Design Kit (PDK), circuit design/simulation, layout, and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools
  • Ability to debug errors and solve problems
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proven communication and collaboration skills (English)
  • Demonstrated leadership of technical teams


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in program or technical management
  • Knowledge of Chiplet industry landscape including both Technology and Design considerations
