Firmware Developer, IBM Corporation, Poughkeepsie, NY: Perform analysis, design, development and testing of i390 (Internal 390) IOP (Integrated Offload Processor) CEC (Central Electronic Complex) firmware modules for internal system z platform. Support legacy machine in the field, by involving in RCA (Root Cause Analysis) of failures and timely delivery of a solution after performing comprehensive testing. Participate in organization level activities of being the i390 code librarian and maintaining a knowledge portal for the CEC firmware tribe. Mentor interns and new members into the team to help with understanding the i390 development environment and debugging. Utilize: C Programming Language, C++ Programming Language, Python Scripting, GDB (Gnu DeBugger), Linux Operating System, PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express), TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol). Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing C Programming Language, C++ Programming Language, Python Scripting, GDB (Gnu DeBugger), Linux Operating System, PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express), TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol).
