Introduction
As a zSoftware Client Leader, you will be responsible for delivering an IBM technical point of view in arguably IBM’s largest mainframe client in the world. Presence will be required in the field as well as remote work. Apply technologically superior zStack solutions and ongoing education on IBM’s strengths and advantages to proactively demonstrate IBM software thought leadership. Collaborate to drive successful outcomes that delight the client.
Apply excellent communication and empathy in leading highly motivated mainframe specialists. You will provide guidance and structure as the team conquers some of the largest customer business challenges in the marketplace.

Your Role and Responsibilities
This position requires the ability to fully deliver the value of the IBM Z platform to fulfill customer’s needs and leading by example in Linux workloads and z Application Modernization pursuits.
You will work closely with relevant IBM stakeholders such as sales, brand, management, partners, clients and more daily.
  • Effective communication skills and organization are essential. With this teaming approach, you will guide the client technical specialists to deliver end-to-end mainframe software solutions.
  • These offerings address client business problems and pain points and align with both tactical and longer-term client strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to the success of the project. You must be able to pro-actively mediate resolutions to project conflict to ensure favorable outcomes.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Familiarity across the IBM mainframe product portfolio and software solutions including A&PS, Data & AI, Automation, Security, and Sustainability. Along with high availability, disaster recovery, resiliency, and other zStack offerings.
  • Understanding mainframe software entry points such as decision velocity and AI decisions at scale with the Telum processor, quantum safe, cyber resiliency, flexible capacity, modernization, and sustainability among them.
  • Ability to incorporate the IBM mainframe software as a critical piece of the data fabric of a customer’s hybrid cloud solution. From a software perspective, be able to highlight the mainframe that supports low latency transactions at a massive scale, near zero down time, data privacy and security and transactional consistency with integrity.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in software. Experience in leading initiative-taking resources that are driven to succeed with winning mainframe software solutions.
  • RedHat Linux Experience. This could include the cloud native container platform of RedHat OpenShift, Open-Source applications, solutions and their best fit for an IBM Mainframe.
  • Three to five years of software sales experience in the field driving solutions for customers or comparable sales experience with proven results in delivering/closing zModernization, DevOps, or Linux solutions.
