Technical Lead, IBM Corporation, Yorktown Heights, NY (Up to 80% telecommuting permitted): Identify, gather, prioritize, and translate development requirements into actions for an engineering team. Deliver relevant developer value in form of interactive web applications. Work with the product owner to develop a technical vision and roadmap for the product. Set and review technical metrics. Guide members to deliver the most relevant value in a timely manner. Control the technical debt and accidental complexity. Ensure the application of best practices during product development. Proactively provide technical solutions to all issues. Work with the Product Owner to develop the technical vision, product architecture, and technical roadmap. Responsible for aligning with the senior development leaders on capacity planning and backlog prioritization. Structure the architectural aspects of complex software so it can be maintained over time. Manage projects following agile best-practices in high-uncertainty environments, with loose requirements. Define and review technical metrics to ensure the correct evolution and maturity of the software. Ensure delivery of high-quality code on time to fulfill agile practices. Work with researchers in assisting with automation and tooling. Teach and act as a mentor for the junior members of the team. Utilize: Web development, Node.js, Open source, Quantum Computing, Content Management System (CMS), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Kubernetes & Docker. Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept Associates degree plus two (2) years of IT experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree) and two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer or related.
