Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Research at Albany, NY is looking for an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) / Latchup Technology Development Lab Software / Hardware Associate Engineer to support the development and qualification of ESD and Latchup devices/testing integrated into next generation CMOS technology nodes, by helping to setup the operation of ESD Test equipment software and associated analysis software, and by owning the operation and maintenance of ESD Test equipment and probers in a designed laboratory.
• Perform electrical measurements on wafer level using industry-standard probe stations.
• Coding of semiconductor probe stations and electrical rack equipment such as parameter analyzers, pulse generators, oscilloscopes, … (Keithley, HP, or similar).
• Development of various applications to help track lab operations such as probe inventory, maintenance schedules, equipment repair.
• Order electrical equipment and consumables such as probecards, cables, … etc.
• Ensuring that laboratory adheres to industry-standard and site-specific (where applicable) safety procedures and best practices.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 6 months of of experience running wafer probe stations.
  • At least 6 months of of experience using semiconductor rack equipment such as parameter analyzer, C-V meter, oscilloscope.
  • At least 6 months of experience programming lab test software such as Visual Basic Studios.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least year of experience running wafer probe stations.
  • At least year of experience using semiconductor rack equipment such as parameter analyzer, C-V meter, oscilloscope.
  • At least year of experience programming lab test software such as Visual Basic Studios.
  • Experience with semiconductor devices and measurements is a plus.
  • Prior employment / internships in a relevant field or company are a plus.
