Research Staff Member, IBM Corporation, Yorktown Heights, NY (Up to 40% of telecommuting permitted): Lead future cloud computing infrastructure open Root-of-Trust (RoT) hardware architecture definition and logic development. Lead development efforts on secure and measured boot with OpenBMC firmware for cloud. Conduct research on hardware security. Develop test framework to expose vulnerabilities in hardware. Work on methods to evaluate hardware security metrics. Publish and present to peer reviewed journals and industry conferences. Work as the industry liaison for Semiconductor Research Corporation. Collaborate with industry and academic partners on hardware security research. Utilize: Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) design, Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design, Hardware Security, Cryptography, Linux, Python. Required: Ph.D., or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related and one (1) year of experience as a Research Scientist, Cloud Computing Infrastructure Security or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing ASIC design, FPGA design, Hardware Security, Cryptography, Linux, Python. $238,880.88 – $289,200.00 per year. Full time. H193.
