IBM Quantum is looking for an experienced hardware professional with extensive leadership experience in semiconductor and packaging fab operation and management ranging from research to development & manufacturing combined with experience in planning and setting up new fab facilities. The candidate will be responsible for accelerating hardware cycle time, establishing a continuous improvement plan for existing fab operations, and expanding fab capabilities to support future expansion. Close collaboration with key technical leads and cross-organization coordination is essential to drive success in this role.
- At least a master’s degree in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science or related field
- At least 10 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry
- Experience with unit process, process development, semiconductor tool usage.
- Demonstrated experience driving a team of people through process sectors to arrive at hardware meeting specifications.
- A doctorate degree in the afore-mentioned areas with 15 years of work experience.
- The industrial work experience should be in the semiconductor wafer-scale integration and packaging sectors with demonstrable results in driving large teams towards ambitious technical goals.
- A proven track record of clear communication across teams with varied technical backgrounds.
