What we want you to do: Apptio is seeking a PR Specialist to help support its global press and analyst engagement programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our media relations program, strategic news, executing product launches/announcements and quarterly executive engagements. The candidate will work with a global PR agency. The position reports into the Director of Corporate Communications.
Support and execute global PR program aligned to corporate and to demand generation goals.
Responsible for inbound and outbound press activities.
Work with global PR agency to support PR program goals and day-to-day activities, including monitoring and tracking coverage, developing briefing and event documents, awards applications and content development.
Assist with internal relations functions including company All Hand and AMAs.
Monitor and track media landscape to mine for relevant press and interview opportunities
Support executive thought-leadership programs with quarterly intake calls.
Contribute to and maintain a competitive/market intelligence database of information based on media coverage, reports, awards and interviews.
Ensure the timely, efficient and top-quality execution of all plans, activities and programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of successful experience in dedicated press and analyst relations role preferred or 3+ years of successful experience in communications role at high-tech company or PR agency.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated and performance driven
- Strong skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
