Candidates for this role must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
- Daily Administration & Incident Management: Run the daily administration of network operations in the cloud and oversee/manage all network changes and incidents for Azure environments using ServiceNow.
- Troubleshooting & Performance: Troubleshoot network and application performance issues to resolve problems affecting hosted applications.
- Patching & Compliance: Plan and execute network infrastructure patching, device upgrades, and ensure cybersecurity compliance with IAVM and STIGs.
- Documentation & Architecture: Maintain necessary network documentation and diagrams for cloud network architecture and customer enclaves.
- On-Call Support: Provide on-call support for triage and resolution of after-hours production incidents.
- Collaboration & Planning: Collaborate with internal/external teams to translate technical objectives into requirements, identify new cloud services/features, and contribute to automation efforts.
- Network Design & Expertise: Design and implement secure, high-availability network solutions for hosted applications while serving as a subject matter expert on network administration trends and technologies.
- Mid to senior-level experience in private/public cloud environments, with strong knowledge of fundamental network concepts and technologies, including Palo Alto firewalls, F5 devices, and Microsoft Azure (or similar cloud technologies).
- Proficiency in analyzing packet captures to troubleshoot network/application issues, along with a solid understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects effectively, paired with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Desired experience in automating routine administrative tasks, coupled with knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages like Terraform and Ansible.
- Bachelor Degree in technical field or related discipline or comparable experience in a previous job
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
Required Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent IA cert)
- Computing environment certification (i.e. CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
- Knowledge of common network services (DNS, SNMP, NTP, etc.), application protocols (HTTP, SSL), DoD network operations, and familiarity with DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
- Strong communication abilities to present systems proposals, diagnose and resolve issues, and effectively interact with customers, senior personnel, and team members.
- Proven organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage project schedules, and ensure timely completion of projects.
