At IBM, work is more than a job - it's a calling: To build. To design. To code. To consult. To think along with clients and sell. To make markets. To invent. To collaborate. Not just to do something better, but to attempt things you've never thought possible. Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world's most challenging problems? If so, lets talk.
This Partner role requires deep, Private Equity-specific expertise not currently available within the existing leadership ranks. Ideal candidates will have backgrounds as former executives of PE-owned companies or consultants from mid-tier strategy firms, enabling them to credibly engage with large-scale operating teams, senior partnership groups, and global investment professionals across multiple offices.
The Partner will be responsible for mastering distinct value creation methodologies across various investment philosophies, including contrarian strategies, diversified platform models, and operational excellence frameworks. The role also involves developing proprietary intellectual property—such as due diligence toolkits and M&A playbooks—and stewarding long-term relationships across 3–5 year investment cycles.
Only a Partner-level leader can drive strategic asset development, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage revenue accountability for multi-million dollar engagement portfolios with industry-defining firms.
This role demands simultaneous excellence in sales and delivery across multiple PE models, real-time market intelligence on over $250B in capital deployment across asset classes, and leadership in advanced value creation strategies including AI integration, ESG frameworks, and post-acquisition transformation.
Managing relationships with clients overseeing $1.9T in assets requires flawless execution, complex stakeholder coordination across investment teams and portfolio companies, and rapid delivery in competitive environments. The Partner must orchestrate full platform capabilities—including technology, consulting, and financing—while navigating regulatory complexity across jurisdictions and maintaining high-stakes relationships where single decisions can impact billions in enterprise value.
Executive Presence
To compete with top-tier strategy firms, the Partner must demonstrate global executive presence across international markets, with cross-border investment commitments exemplifying the scale of opportunity. This includes establishing thought leadership in global PE forums, navigating multi-jurisdictional regulatory landscapes, and developing cultural fluency for international portfolio engagements.
The Partner will also be responsible for building brand presence through conference speaking, industry panels, and strategic partnership development. This global mandate includes geopolitical risk assessment for cross-border M&A, co-investment strategy formulation, and positioning the firm as a preferred provider for climate transition and infrastructure investments across global PE operations.
