This role is for an internship in Summer 2026. The Internship is expected to start on Tuesday, May 26th with an end date of Friday, July 31st. Candidates must be available to start and end on these days.

As an IBM Marketing Intern, you’ll work collaboratively, driving work that addresses a strategic IBM Marketing business challenge. In addition to your project work, the internship includes educational, networking, and social activities. Between project work and intern programming, you'll get to touch a variety of areas within Marketing. At the end of program, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your final outcomes to a large audience of Marketing Leaders and Practitioners across the organization. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer.
Intern projects can span all areas of Marketing, including Field, Account Marketing, Demand Strategy, Sports & Entertainment Partnerships, and more. Previous intern projects have included:
- Creating cohesive messaging strategies to increase global executive eminence
- Increasing awareness and engagement across social channels for our AI for Business products
- Optimizing the digital journey for IBM offerings
- Developing customer targeting and marketing strategies for our core products
- Building AI solutions to support marketing campaigns and communications strategies
- Designing marketing activations and communications plans to support our F1 partnership
This role is based in New York City. We work in a hybrid environment. This position will be required to come into the office at least three days per week.

- Currently enrolled in an accredited University
- Available for an internship in Summer 2026
- Rising senior for the 2026-2027 school year
- Basic knowledge of one or more of the following areas: marketing, public relations, demand strategy, field or account marketing, product marketing, sports and entertainment marketing, brand partnerships, or event marketing
- Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of problem-solving and analytical skills
- Basic market research skills
- A strategic, consultative, data-driven mindset
