As the manager of the global conference team, you will drive IBM growth by delivering exceptional attendee experiences through strategic thinking and flawless operational management for the Think and TechXchange franchises. You will partner across various teams to design and deliver events that connect audiences to IBM's innovation, turning engagement into measurable business outcomes.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Drive Strategy and Outcomes: Partner with demand generation, field marketing, and partner acceleration teams to define event objectives, target audiences, and success metrics that align to business goals, ultimately driving strategy and outcomes.
• Design Impactful Client Journeys: Develop integrated event experiences, including branding, content, and engagement strategies, focused on capturing and converting client interest into pipeline and revenue.
• Execute with Excellence: Manage all end-to-end event processes and tools, ensuring alignment with IBM's standards for audit, legal, and financial compliance, while maintaining a relentless focus on post-event performance.
• Optimize Performance: Leverage a robust Response Lead Management (RLM) plan to ensure consistent pre- and post-event follow-up across field and sales teams, analyzing event results to extract performance insights.
• Innovate and Lead: Provide thought leadership in event innovation, continuously improving processes, tools, and client engagement models to elevate IBM's event ecosystem.
• Deep Expertise in Event Strategy Development: Proven ability to define event objectives, target audiences, and success metrics that align to business goals, driving strategy and outcomes through partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Integrated Event Experience Design: Skilled in developing branding, content, and engagement strategies that capture and convert client interest into pipeline and revenue, leveraging expertise in event experience design.
• Mastery of End-to-End Event Process Management: Demonstrated ability to manage all event processes and tools, ensuring alignment with organizational standards for audit, legal, and financial compliance.
• Advanced Knowledge of Response Lead Management (RLM): Experienced in leveraging RLM plans to ensure consistent pre- and post-event follow-up across field and sales teams, analyzing event results to extract performance insights.
• Expertise in Event Innovation and Leadership: Proven track record of providing thought leadership in event innovation, continuously improving processes, tools, and client engagement models to elevate event ecosystems.
• Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.
• Event Innovation Expertise: Deep understanding of emerging trends and technologies in event marketing, with the ability to leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in event strategies and experiences.
• Advanced Data Analysis: Skilled in analyzing complex event data to extract insights and inform future event strategies, with expertise in using data to measure and optimize event performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to partner with multiple stakeholders, including demand generation, field marketing, and partner acceleration teams, to drive event objectives and outcomes.
