Job Description:
Intersection is seeking a highly motivated Associate Product Manager (APM) to support our product development efforts across our customer experience platform (IxNConnect) and advertising software suites. As an APM at Intersection, you will play a critical role in shaping software seen and used by millions of people each year during their journey through public spaces such as transit systems, city streets, or private retail destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development: Support the agile development process across multiple key software initiatives
- Craft user stories, epics and translates into Jira tickets
- Lead daily standup meetings with the engineering team
- Lead sprint planning meetings and retros
- Gather and prioritize requirements, track bugs, and other work items for the team
- Conduct QA / UAT sessions to ensure our software is built to spec
- Help the team gain access to SMEs and remove blockers
- Educate team in the business domain
Stakeholder Engagement/Customer Development: Act as the public face of our software products to our customers and key internal stakeholders
- Demo solutions to our partners
- Facilitate requirements modeling sessions
- Conduct “voice of the customer” interviews and quantify results
- Educate client stakeholders in the development process
- Negotiate priorities, scope, funding, and schedule
- Communicate releases, team status and key milestones to leadership and partners
Product Strategy & Analysis: Ensure the product roadmap is aligned with key business objectives and customer needs through data-driven analysis
- Build internal and external data dashboards to track KPIs and measure product usage
- Conduct qualitative research (e.g. customer interviews, industry trends) to understand the voice of the customer
- Conduct quantitative analysis to measure the business impact of key product initiatives such as a pricing change, feature build out, or pursuit of a new market
- Contribute to the quarterly and annual product roadmap development
- Summarize research findings and present recommendations to leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (business and STEM are a plus)
- 1-3 years of professional experience in a strategic, quantitative, or technology-related role (product management, digital media/advertising, consulting, etc)
- Fluency with data – you know how to aggregate, manipulate and interpret data, extract key insights, and recommend an informed course of action
- Digital experience – you have some degree of familiarity working with software products
- Client management – demonstrated ability to successfully build client relationships and demonstrate a customer-centric mindset
- Clear communicator – you have strong written and oral communication skills
- Collaborative – you have experience working with cross-functional teams and navigating competing priorities among them
- Curiosity – you are self-motivated and possess a desire to learn
- Experience working with design and development teams is a plus
- Experience with smart cities technology or digital advertising is a plus
Total Cash Compensation: $80,000 - 120,000
