Product Director, Holistic Page Optimization
IPONWEB
What You'll Do:
As the Product Director for Holistic Page Optimization (HPO), you will spearhead the creation of a new strategic capability within Criteo’s Retail Media business. You will own the vision, definition, and delivery of page-level optimization solutions — driving how retailers dynamically structure, rank, and blend content across their on-site search and browsing experiences to maximize engagement, conversion, and revenue.
You will be responsible for building this function from the ground up: partnering with Strategy, R&D, and Commercial teams to define the opportunity space, designing the product roadmap, and leading the full product development lifecycle (PDLC) from initial market fit analysis through to launch and scaling.
This role is ideal for a product leader who has direct experience with holistic page optimization (HPO) or related fields such as content optimization, fluid / dynamic page assembly, search results curation, or ad/organic blending optimization — preferably within a retailer, retail marketplace, search engine, or social network.
Define and Own the HPO Vision: Establish the product vision and strategy for Criteo’s holistic page optimization solutions across retailer sites.
Lead End-to-End Product Development: Own the PDLC, from opportunity identification and validation through product design, development, launch, and iteration.
Partner Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Strategy, R&D, Commercial, and Retailer Success teams to align on market needs, technical capabilities, and go-to-market plans.
Shape and Validate the Market Opportunity: Conduct competitive and customer research to size the market, define customer requirements, and ensure product-market fit.
Drive Innovation: Guide experimentation and testing initiatives to continuously optimize page-level outcomes, integrating machine learning and AI-driven approaches.
Champion the Retailer and End-User: Ensure that page optimization solutions create compelling, user-centered experiences that drive measurable business impact for retailers.
Who You Are:
Degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related), Business, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of product management experience, with direct ownership of complex platform, search, ad delivery, or optimization solutions.
Experience in holistic page optimization (HPO) or closely related fields such as:
Search results blending and page curation
Dynamic content assembly/personalization
Auction/optimization models for page layouts
Sponsored and organic content ranking strategies
Background from a retailer, search provider, social network, AdTech platform, or content integrator preferred.
Strong strategic mindset, able to translate market analysis and emerging trends into actionable product roadmaps.
Data-driven and technically fluent, with familiarity in machine learning-based optimization methods and experimentation frameworks (e.g., A/B testing at scale).
Entrepreneurial and self-driven, comfortable owning a zero-to-one product development effort with high visibility.
Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to work across technical and commercial teams and influence at all levels.
We acknowledge that many candidates may not meet every single role requirement listed above. If your experience looks a little different from our requirements but you believe that you can still bring value to the role, we’d love to see your application!
