Job Description
The Global Technology (GT) Strategy team is a key player in promoting technology strategy and innovation across the firm. As part of a world-class technology group with 14 global hubs and over 50k technologists, we design, build, and deploy a wide range of high-quality products and solutions, including enterprise technology initiatives, big data, mobile solutions, and innovations in AI, electronic payments, cybersecurity, machine learning, and cloud development. Our $15B+ annual investment in technology enables us to create transformative solutions for the financial services industry and beyond. The Executive Director will shape the strategy, governance, organizational structure, operating model, architecture, and processes for GT, applying best practices and collaborating with GT senior leaders to align technology with the organization's overarching business strategy.
As an Executive Director in the Global Technology Strategy team, you will be pivotal in promoting technology strategy to foster innovation across the firm. You will lead high-priority initiatives/projects to address complex problems at the forefront of the industry, including technology modernization, AI, data, and cloud strategies. You will serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner for GT senior leaders, providing strategic insights and recommendations that promote technology innovation and transformation. Your role will also involve monitoring and analyzing industry trends, applying leading practices to evaluate and refine the firmwide technology strategy, ensuring alignment with firmwide goals.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead high-priority initiatives/projects to address complex problems at the forefront of the industry, including technology modernization, AI, data, and cloud strategies, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner for GT senior leaders, providing strategic insights and recommendations that drive technology innovation and transformation.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, applying leading practices to evaluate and refine the firmwide technology strategy, ensuring alignment with firmwide goals.
- Develop and deliver executive-level technology strategy narratives, deliverables, and analyses that articulate the value, impact, and direction of technology priorities.
- Guide strategic thinking and problem-solving approaches for project teams, fostering the development of team members and managers, and cultivating a culture of excellence and innovation.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business and technology strategy in internal strategy teams or management consulting firms.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior business and technology executives and influence decision-making.
- Deep familiarity with technical concepts and operating models, with a strong passion for technology and industry trends, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies.
- Ability to organize and prioritize critical issues, enabling efficient decision-making and providing oversight for high-priority projects.
- Excellent technical and business presentation, writing, and verbal communications skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Proven ability in leading strategic projects with strong facilitation, process-management, and influencing skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a record of accomplishment of innovative thinking and a commitment to continuous improvement
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in economics, finance, math, engineering, computing, or a related field, with a strong analytical background
- Experience in applying data analysis to solve business problems in a dynamic environment.
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration, influencing stakeholders, and working with diverse teams.
