Job Description

As a Payments & Technology Business Manager-Vice President, you will partner with the Chief Business Technologist (CBT) to drive strategic decisions impacting governance, priorities, budget, forecast, control, and overall direction of an increasingly growing and evolving group.
As a Payments & Technology Business Manager-Vice President within the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments team, you will play a crucial role in assisting and advising senior management. You will oversee forecasting processes, organize business reviews, and provide executive-level presentations, ensuring alignment with Payments Technology strategy and developing multi-year staffing plans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor performance against plan and explain variances, overseeing the forecasting process and measuring results against objectives.
- Assist the lead business manager in communicating year-on-year spend, focusing on forward-looking analysis and multi-year planning.
- Prepare senior-level presentations on strategy, budget, project delivery, controls, and risks.
- Support the Front Office in understanding and challenging technology allocations.
- Drive large-scale productivity agendas and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop multi-year staffing plans and drive location strategy.
- Provide regular management reporting and communication on business unit performance, highlighting issues and risks.
- Conduct data analysis using Excel and BI tools to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
- Oversee the technology team’s strategic agenda and six-quarter planning, ensuring deliverable schedules are communicated.
- Coordinate quarterly portfolio reviews with Product and tech stakeholders.
- Track usage reduction opportunities across Payments Technology to drive cost efficiencies.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related area.
- Prior experience in Technology Business Management and strong Financial Management background.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure technologies, financial management, and cloud FinOps practices.
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Advanced skills in Office, PowerPoint, and knowledge of BI tools like Cognos and Tableau.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present to senior and global business heads.
- Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work independently with excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze large data sets.
- Drive large-scale productivity agendas and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to forge strong relationships and influence across functions.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Knowledge of CIB Portfolio governance tools to manage Investments and Business Cases.
- Understanding of payment products and technologies.
- Knowledge of infrastructure financial management and cloud FinOps practices.
