Job Description
Join the Firmwide Chief Data Office at JPMorgan Chase, where you'll play a pivotal role in maximizing the value and impact of data globally. As a Vice President for Data Development Lifecycle (DDLC) Strategy, you'll support the development and execution of innovative architecture, tool chains, and control frameworks to enhance data development and deployment.
As a Vice President in the DDLC Strategy team, you will partner with firmwide teams, lines of business, and corporate functions to transform the data development process. Your role involves overseeing the data development lifecycle from concept to delivery, leveraging your data science background and communication skills to engage with leaders across the business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Define the data development process across all lifecycle stages with clear roles and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with technology leaders to develop a firmwide reference architecture for data development and testing.
- Work with risk management to create a control framework for managing data risks.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of changes to key platforms and toolchains from proof of concept to deployment.
- Align with various departments and support groups to achieve business outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the DDLC, ensuring safe and scalable changes.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and independence in your work.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders in decision-making and strategy implementation.
- Assist in identifying, escalating, and mitigating project risks.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 7+ years of experience in financial services, data/technology, or related consulting industry.
- Deep data science experience with consulting for end-to-end delivery.
- Advanced degree in business or technical/quantitative discipline.
- Structured thinker and effective communicator with excellent written skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment.
- Strong knowledge of data mesh architecture and data product concepts.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience in roadmap creation and execution, aligning business operations to strategic goals.
- Understanding of AI/ML technologies in data management/governance.
- Knowledge of control and risk management concepts.
- Strong product and project management skills.
- Deep domain expertise in data applications and strategy execution.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
