Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join an exciting new 0 to 1 product build. The candidate will join a team working at the cutting edge of new payment rails, payment networks and the most popular P2P platform in the U.S. on a product launch set to create waves in the payments industry.
Job summary
As a Senior Associate, Product Manager in the Real Time Payments team, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of money movement for Chase customers through the development of cutting-edge real-time payment products. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced product managers, engage with other Chase payment products like Zelle, and coordinate with both internal support functions and external network partners. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a multi-year release roadmap, driving feature delivery and technical product management across various teams. We are looking for candidates who are highly organized, possess strong communication skills, thrive in fast-paced environments, and demonstrate a proactive attitude.
Job responsibilities
- Work closely with engineers and architects to build the optimal technical requirements for our new product
- Drive progress through coordinated stakeholder management and partner outreach to conduct discovery on the technical build of the product
- Work regularly with your ‘quad ‘ partners (engineering, analytics, architecture, design) to drive progress, solve problems and continuously iterate
- Proactively project manage your book of work to navigate multiple interdependent milestones and raise roadblocks early
- Keep a clean kitchen; maintain impeccable Jira hygiene and agile controls to ensure utmost transparency and visibility to work being done
- Maintain deep knowledge of area product vision, strategy, roadmap, technical implementation, and operations
- Identify risks, bottlenecks and delays proactively and begin mitigation planning immediately
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 4+ years of experience in financial services, digital, product management and / or Agile software development with a track record of feature delivery
- Experience delivering technical back end build to support product functionality
- Self-starter with strong written/verbal communication, a clear vision of the efficient and effective way to get things done and an iterative mindset to try, fail and pivot as needed
- Ownership mindset; be solution oriented when encountering competing perspectives or blockers
- Experience with project management tools
- Sense of ease in ambiguity and a passion for creating order out of chaos; you remain calm under pressure and tight delivery timelines
- Proven success in collaborating, influencing and driving decisions with multiple stakeholders, including team members across product, technology and design
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Advanced degree such as an MBA
- Strategy consulting experience in the Financial Services space
