We are seeking an International Sales Associate to join our dynamic Innovation Economy International Banking team. Your responsibility will be to help bring our international platform to US-based companies in the fast-growing and dynamic Innovation Economy portfolio. This portfolio includes Technology, Disruptive Commerce, Life Sciences, and Healthcare Services industry groups within Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries. In this fast-paced, client-facing role, you will need to be well organized and capable of managing internal and client relationships across different time zones in Canada, LATAM, Europe, and Asia. You will be a key support for International Payments Specialists (IPS), who manage portfolios of 50 to over 200 clients, assisting throughout every deal lifecycle. Our role will have a focus on building sales acumen to position international treasury, trade, and credit solutions for multinational corporations. This role offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-growing sector, with the chance to develop professionally and make a significant impact.

Job responsibilities:

  • Support and handle the non-US corporate banking needs of the firm’s targeted prospects and clients through planning, calling efforts, meetings, and revenue and pipeline tracking
  • Support clients through the international implementation, client onboarding and review ramp of new business
  • Conduct industry, client, and prospect research to help develop strategies to grow revenue and deepen existing relationships
  • Stay up to date on market trends across eCommerce, Fintech, marketplaces and innovative healthcare developments
  • Maintain ongoing client relationships with decision makers located both at headquarters and subsidiaries
  • Prepare for key client meetings including creating and updating presentation materials, performing client research, reviewing pricing reviews/changes, obtaining exception approvals, and addressing legal or compliance reviews
  • Participate in in-person calling activities and ad hoc direct sales opportunities with IPS
  • Identify, design, and advise US multinational clients on the broad platform of market trends, regulations, and pricing.
  • Leverage emotional intelligence and influence to manage conflicts, foster collaboration, and develop trust within the team and with clients.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • An appreciation for being ‘client obsessed’ with 3+ years of applicable experience in corporate banking, corporate treasury, finance, consulting or finance sales to mid-cap corporates and a passion for delivering a consistent, stellar client and partner experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, International Business or related field
  • 1+ years’ of experience in treasury management
  • Intellectual curiosity in understanding of global cash management, currency risk management, and regulatory compliance
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) and superior analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, negotiating and organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Natural ability to work in a client-facing role, with ambition to be an individual contributor and take ownership of portfolio over time
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and learn via networking and peer to peer education
