Job Description

Chase is seeking a dynamic individual for a new role dedicated to expanding impactful dining partnerships linked to the recently relaunched Sapphire Reserve card and its reservation benefits. Reporting to the VP of Restaurant Partnerships and Reservation Strategy, this role aims to elevate the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Held Table program by managing a pipeline of prospective restaurants and serving as the coordinator to ensure all aspects are organized appropriately.

As the Senior Associate, Restaurant Partnerships within the Chase Dining Strategy & Activations team, you will manage the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Held Table program, coordinating with prospective restaurants, and ensuring organized execution of partnerships. Key responsibilities include project management with OpenTable, budget tracking, cross-functional collaboration, and relationship management with restaurant partners. You should have a minimum of three years of experience in partnership roles within the restaurant industry, strong project and budget management skills, and expertise in reservation systems. You should be tech-savvy, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to fostering an inclusive environment while advancing Chase's dining benefits.

Job responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Chase Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables program, focusing on process and project management to ensure collaborative development of new restaurant partnerships on OpenTable.
  • Manage the dining partnerships budget across multiple projects, meticulously tracking commitments, invoices, and payments
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration by coordinating with internal stakeholders, including corporate development, experiential, and marketing, and restaurant partners when finalizing a deal
  • Serve as a point of contact for restaurant partners, diligently scheduling conversations, tracking progress on proposals, attending relevant events, and advising on learnings and suggestions.
  • Support the ideation and organization of offerings connected to the held table program, ensuring alignment with Chase Sapphire’s strategic goals and OpenTable's capabilities.
  • Evaluate the impact of the held table program across different projects, determining appropriate measures of success and the utilization of benefits.
  • Develop presentations to highlight the restaurant partnerships strategy, showcasing research, evaluation criteria, KPI measures, and competitive insights on comparable partnerships in the financial space.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry news and trends to continually advance Chase’s dining benefit offerings, engage in industry networking, and connect with stakeholders at Chase Dining, The Infatuation, Zagat, Love Local, and other Chase lines of business.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience in partnership or sponsorship roles, with a focus on the restaurant industry. Demonstrated project and account management skills, capable of overseeing multiple initiatives to successful completion.
  • Expertise in budget and partner management, crucial for supporting large deals.
  • Deep passion and knowledge of the restaurant and food/beverage industry.
  • Skilled at aligning and integrating initiatives strategically, especially in collaboration with corporate development and legal teams.
  • Proficient in crafting presentations and executive summaries for leadership, highlighting insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment, promoting diversity and collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Strong networking abilities and thorough follow-up, ensuring effective relationship management and partnership growth, while advancing deals with corporate development and legal teams.
  • Excellent research, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, and other presentation tools.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, with experience in leveraging CRM tools to enhance partner relationships and drive strategic outcomes.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience working with reservation systems such as OpenTable, SevenRooms, Resy, and Tock, with a proven ability to optimize these platforms to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
