Job Description
Join our global commodities team as an analyst, reporting to the head of Global Commodities Research.
J.P. Morgan is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Analyst to join our Commodities Oil Research Team. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced analysts, contributing to in-depth research and analysis of the global oil market. The ideal candidate will have a passion for commodities, strong analytical skills, and a desire to grow within the industry.
Job responsibilities:
- Assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data related to the oil market.
- Support the team in preparing research reports, presentations, and market updates.
- Monitor and track key market indicators, trends, and developments.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to develop forecasts and strategic insights.
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of databases and analytical tools.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on market dynamics.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Interest in the commodities market, particularly oil and gas.
- Prior internship or experience in commodities or financial analysis is a plus.
