The Wallet and Lending Innovation organization is a team of highly talented product leaders focused on delivering innovative payment experiences and platforms. We’re transforming the buying and selling experiences for millions of our customer and nurturing the growth of digital payments.
As a VP of Product in Connected Commerce on the Wallet and Lending Innovation organization, you will conceptualize the next generation of payment platforms, drive innovative thinking and build seamless customer experiences that become the foundation of Chase digital payments and commerce experiences. We’re looking for someone who is customer obsessed, has a strong passion to lead “start-up” efforts in large companies, and a strong inclination for innovative thinking. We are looking for product leads that can foster a culture of innovation, learning and collaboration. As a leader on the team, you will be responsible for creating a vision and a roadmap, driving product development lifecycle, monitoring the platform performance and scaling the payments platforms to millions of customer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Define and manage roadmap for the product line; establish vision and strategy for the product/platform
- Create and conceptualize platforms and products from 0-1, including driving build and scale
- Define features and communicate requirements to engineering in clearly written documentation
- Partner closely with Technology, Design, and Analytics teams to lead product development efforts
- Manage product backlog creation and grooming, support agile product delivery, launch and go to market for product, production support, issue & defect resolution and prioritization
- Manage prioritization, requirement intakes, quarterly and yearly planning with cross-domain stakeholders and peers
- Manage executive stakeholder relationships and regularly communicate updates on the product strategy, progress and performance
- Monitor against goals, identify and scope implementation paths for needed enhancements, and create remediation plans when needed
- Collaborate with a team of cross-functional partners to ensure a strong risk and controls environment (e.g., Risk, Controls, Legal, Compliance)
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 5+ years of experience in financial services and product management
- Experience in online payments including digital wallets and money movement
- Experience driving change within large, highly matrixed organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions, especially engineering, architecture, design and other product peers
- Passion for understanding customer needs and demonstrated ability to build scalable platforms
- Ability to think strategically while still being comfortable diving into the details required to ensure successful execution
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Strong knowledge of APIs, engineering practices, and the product development lifecycle using Agile methodologies
- Proven track record of managing risk and controls
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or comparable field of study
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Candidates with Fintech background or payment platform experience shall be preferred
