Job Summary
The Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) team sits within the Corporate Treasury & Chief Investment Office (CTC) as part of the Treasury function. The RRP team is a firmwide function responsible for maintaining the Firm’s Global and International Recovery and Resolution plans for the company and its material legal entities. These plans are required by the Firm’s US and international regulators, and demonstrate how the we would operate when faced with material financial distress or failure of the company or material legal entities.
As an Executive Director within the RRP team, you will play an important role in developing the resolution plans for our bank holding company and our insured depository institution subsidiary. You will also act as the primary authority on US recovery & resolution (R&R) planning rule requirements and supervisory expectations, which will include offering strategic guidance, interpreting rules, and supporting the firm's advocacy efforts in relation to R&R planning. You will also lead a team tasked with maintaining the firm's R&R capabilities and contingent actions inventories and the associated testing and assurance frameworks, and the execution of central testing and assurance activities managed by the RRP team.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a deep level of expertise on rule requirements and supervisory expectations for US R&R planning
- Own the strategic direction for/lead the development of the resolution plans for our bank holding company and our insured depository institution subsidiary
- Work with the RRP team, corporate functions and Lines of Business (LoBs) to help drive delivery of the resolution plans for our bank holding company and our insured depository institution subsidiary in line with supervisory expectations
- Manage the ownership of key resolution planning documents such as the executive summary and public document within our bank holding company’s resolution plan
- Represent the Firm’s advocacy position R&R [and TLAC] related matters with policy makers and trade associations
- Manager the maintenance of the Firm’s recovery and resolution capabilities inventory and associated testing and assurance framework
- Own the maintenance of the Firm’s comprehensive list of contingent actions and associated testing and assurance framework
- Plan and execute central testing and assurance activities managed by the RRP
- Represent the Firm with supervisors in their reviews of the firm’s capital management framework and recovery and resolution plans
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 10+ years of experience working with US regulations in the financial services sector
- Deep expertise in US Resolution and/or Recovery planning requirements
- Policy Advocacy with US Regulatory Agencies, or work experience in a US Regulatory Agency
- Experience with managing significant projects at a globally active financial institutions
- Team management experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Broad expertise across the US prudential regulations
