As a Senior Asset Servicing Risk Manager Vice President in the Global Custody Asset Servicing Middle Office Risk team, you will manage risk for complex voluntary corporate action and income events across all asset classes and markets. You will oversee the process from event inception to payment, ensuring robust risk controls and effective issue resolution. In this role, you will collaborate with client-facing teams, client service, and core operational processing teams to address complex queries and drive process improvements. You will help foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, while supporting the team’s development and growth. Your expertise will be instrumental in enabling informed decision-making and mitigating large exposure risks.
Job responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise in asset servicing risk management across all asset classes and markets
- Manage risk for complex voluntary corporate action and income events from inception to payment
- Recommend and implement process enhancements and strategic business initiatives
- Serve as escalation contact for the team, mitigating and escalating identified risks and controls
- Lead and develop a team of Subject Matter Experts, providing ongoing direction and feedback
- Collaborate with client-facing teams, client service, and operational processing teams to resolve complex queries
- Present risk issues to senior management to support decision-making on large exposure items
- Drive change and influence senior stakeholders across departments
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firmwide standards
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Support the development and growth of team members
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Extensive experience in Corporate Actions processing
- In-depth knowledge of the full Asset Servicing product lifecycle
- High level understanding of Corporate Actions and Income accounting entries
- Thorough understanding of risks associated with Asset Servicing products
- Experience in client service and middle office operations
- Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders across departments
- Experience in investment banking or global custody operations (trades, cash, FX, reconciliations)
- Excellent problem-solving skills for operational and technical issues
- Robust written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior business executives
- Self-motivated, able to deliver within tight timeframes and work effectively as part of a team

- Experience leading and developing large teams
- Exposure to strategic business initiatives and process improvement projects
- Ability to influence change across multiple departments
- Advanced knowledge of risk management frameworks and controls
- Experience working in a global financial institution
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in asset servicing
