Job Description

As a Vice President Data Scientist Lead in the Private Client Data & Analytics team, you will partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product Strategy to deliver analytical insights and build data automation solutions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to support and advance sales initiatives, using your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to drive key projects forward. You will help foster a collaborative team culture and play a critical role in enabling business innovation through data.

You will leverage industry-leading tools and machine learning to convert data into actionable insights, supporting acquisition, sales, and retention strategies for Private Client Office business programs. Your work will enable sales leadership to deliver value and an excellent customer experience, while you continue to develop your skills and contribute to the team’s success.


Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to solve quantitative business problems using analytic methods such as predictive modeling, clustering, text mining, machine learning, statistical forecasting, optimization, and simulations
  • Lead analytical optimization of the sales funnel and identify opportunities to drive sales growth
  • Collaborate with business partners and Technology to advise on routing strategies and experimentation, developing strategic data solutions across product domains and platforms
  • Build trusted relationships in a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrate tenacity in problem solving, structuring, and developing a point of view
  • Work independently with limited supervision
  • Exhibit passion for data and analytics to drive business innovation
  • Deliver marketing, sales, finance, and business insights through analytics, reporting, and advanced visualization techniques
  • Communicate complex analytical results clearly
  • Profile, wrangle, and prepare data from diverse sources to support analytics
  • Write data transformation logic in Python, SAS, or Scala
  • Stay current with industry trends and test new tools and techniques to address business challenges

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Six years or more of related marketing analytics experience
  • Master’s or PhD in a related field, or bachelor’s degree with at least five years’ experience in a related discipline
  • Hands-on experience delivering analytics and insights to multiple management levels, including test design, financials, conversion/reporting, response analysis, incremental analysis, profiling, and segmentation
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical and data science techniques, including machine learning algorithms (linear/logistic regression, clustering, decision trees, random forest, neural networks, gradient boosting, text mining) using Python or R
  • Experience with databases (Teradata, Oracle), Snowflake, AWS, and advanced querying languages (SQL, HQL, SparkSQL) in modern cloud-based architectures
  • Technical understanding of data extraction, transformation, and load processing
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools (Adobe Insight, Adobe Site Catalyst)
  • Demonstrated experience with business strategy and tactical implementation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, able to convey complex information simply to senior leaders and partners
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence internal and external partners
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in developing solutions
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of detail and organization

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in financial services or private client business analytics
  • Familiarity with sales enablement platforms and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Ability to mentor junior team members
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives
